Record meetings without a bot on Mac

Loofah records both sides of a call from your Mac and transcribes on-device. There is no meeting bot to invite and no account to create. Download the free Apple Silicon app and prepare a speech model with the first-meeting guide.

Create a New Note, or open an existing empty note, then click Record in the top-right corner.

Loofah captures your microphone and system audio on your Mac. It does not join the call as a participant.

Write your own notes in Memos. Those notes are included as context if you generate a summary later.

The Transcript view shows text during the meeting when the active model and language support live transcription. Otherwise, transcription runs after you stop recording.

Turn on Show floating bar in Settings → App → Meetings if you want compact controls while the main window is out of the way.

Click Stop listening. The app finishes any pending transcription and generates a summary when an Intelligence model is configured and the transcript is long enough.

You can resume the same note from the recording control if the conversation continues.

On an empty note, open the ••• menu and choose Upload audio or Upload transcript. See Import audio or a transcript for the supported formats.

You can also import from the terminal: loof import recording.m4a --transcribe creates the meeting and transcribes it without opening the app. See the CLI reference.

For microphone reminders and automatic stopping, see Automate meeting capture.

Name detected speakers after recording, edit your summary prompt, or export the session as Markdown. Your notes and summaries stay in your local vault; recordings are kept indefinitely.
