Customize meeting summaries
Summary generation is optional. When an AI provider is configured, every summary uses one shared prompt for your vault.
Edit the summary prompt
Section titled “Edit the summary prompt”- Open Settings → Summaries → Customize instructions, or choose Edit summary prompt from a summary’s menu.
- Edit the prompt and click Save.
- Regenerate an existing summary to apply your changes to it.
Saved changes apply to future generation, including automatic summaries and regeneration of older summaries. Existing text stays as it is until you regenerate it. Regeneration preserves the document’s title.
The Current date and Language buttons insert variables that are filled in when the prompt runs. Invalid syntax and unsupported variables must be corrected before saving. Use Reset to default to restore the bundled prompt.
Loofah supplies notes, transcripts, session details, participants, and supported note images separately. Your prompt can choose its own format; the summary-length policy still applies.
Each session gets one Summary. Older additional summaries remain available to read, edit, and regenerate.
Tags from summaries
Section titled “Tags from summaries”When you generate or regenerate a summary, the same model request asks for 0–3 relevant tags and a confidence score from 0 to 1 for each. The model prefers existing tag names and can propose new ones. These scores are the model’s estimates, not calibrated probabilities.
Auto-apply tags with high confidence is on by default in Settings → Summaries. Loofah attaches tags with confidence strictly above 0.85 (85%) automatically. Tags at exactly 0.85 or below stay as suggestions that you can accept or dismiss.
Turn the setting off to review every suggested tag manually. Accepting a new tag adds it to your tag list. Regeneration keeps tags you have already accepted and preserves your dismissals. Changing the toggle affects future summary generation; it does not change existing tags or resolve existing suggestions.
Older templates
Section titled “Older templates”Your previous custom Auto prompt carries over automatically. Saved summary documents are preserved. Old template definitions are archived under .trash/<date>/templates/ in your vault, where you can recover their text with Finder. They are no longer active templates.
